ACTINICA LOTION is designed for the prevention of specific types of non-melanoma skin cancers (NMSC). This photoprotective lotion offers exceptional protection against UVA and UVB rays, boasting a high SPF of 50+. Featuring a range of stable UV filters, it is also resistant to water exposure. It safeguards the skin from both types of ultraviolet radiation. Specifically formulated for patients at elevated risk, Actinica® Lotion aims to minimize the appearance of actinic keratosis (AK) lesions during the study period, assessed at 12 and 24 months with a daily application of 2 mg/cm2 on sun-exposed skin. Results indicated a notable 53% decline in AK lesions following two years of consistent application. Additionally, no new instances of invasive squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) were reported after two years of regular use of Actinica® Lotion.
